WELCOME, - You are about to make an entry into a Public Book of Remembrance where you are able to leave a message and light a candle for your loved ones. However, if you have recently lost a loved one - or wish to leave a message for family, friends or neighbours who have recently lost a loved one - you may prefer to make your entry in their own Private Book Of Remembrance.
To check whether a Private Book of Remembrance has been opened you can either click on the Books of Remembrance link in the left hand panel above and browse the listing of activated Books or use our Search Website facility. Entering the surname only will enhance your search results. When a Book is returned its status is indicated by a small book icon - a red cross indicates that you are unable to make any entries until the Book Owner, usually the family member responsible for the funeral arrangements, has activated the Book.
PLEASE CHECK CAREFULLY THAT THE ENTRY YOU MAKE IS IN THE APPROPRIATE BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE.
